Not really “Domesticated” sizing, but simply a a second, more generous, size scale to fit a larger assortment of people. In most sizes there was room to make an upsized set of dims for the QK. I started feeling that the original size scale to be a bit slim in the lower size range. The stock dims tend to force a lot of guys to go longer than wanted to net enough volume. Being a board for not only young rippers but older guys as well, I decided to take at look at the sizing scale. The thing was, they were all custom ordered and had significantly more volume than our current stock dims. Free and easy in small-ish surf while still precise and forgiving in solid surf. ![]() The rounded tail, reduced nose area, and the added rocker, prevents too much rail being wetted at once in small surf, and allows control and ease of pocket and power surfing in proper waves. The surface area and volume are still generous enough to create speed and feel lively in anything but the smallest, or true “grovel” surf. The overall outline and rocker lines are a minimalistic and simplistic continuous curve. The Quiver Killer gets that name for a reason. We then changed the tail to a forgiving, rounded “thumb” tail without narrowing it too much where the front fins are. While spending time in Bali this summer I began doing some tweaking to the design. With myself and so many people enjoying the ShortRound, it quickly became clear that the short, relatively flat, and stubby board was an easy answer for fast fun in smaller surf, but with some limitations. The Quiver Killer is an extension of the Short Round model.

The latest effort to eliminate the password comes from the FIDO Alliance, an industry group aimed at standardizing authentication methods online. Passwords are a pain-you’ll get no argument here-but we don’t see them going away in the foreseeable future. Passkeys, FIDO, and the “Death of the Password”Ī concerted effort to get rid of passwords began roughly two days after the password was invented. The safest (if craziest) way to store your passwords is to memorize them all. The problem is, most of us don’t know what makes a good password and aren’t able to remember hundreds of them anyway. The Handbook is nice to have too, especially if you want tips and tricks for painting skin, fabric, metal, and other special effects. The fact that they also work for other programs is awesome too, because if you also have those then you can have the same brushes for all your programs. ![]() If you’re just getting started and want a good set of brushes, I would happily recommend this bundle. They do cost $20 (or $35 if you also want the Digital Painting Handbook) at the time of this writing, but there is a lot of value here. The Jazza Ultimate Digital Brushes pack is a great set of brushes in my opinion. (I also found a bunch of typos so it probably needed another pass of editing as well, but that doesn’t change the value of the information inside) I feel like your mileage may vary as to whether the Handbook is worth the extra money in addition to the brushes. The sections on fabric and metal are pretty good, and the skin section does have some good tips. Overall though I feel like I did get value out of the Handbook and I’m glad that I have it in addition to the brushes. However I would have found this a bit more helpful in the skin section of the ebook instead of having to go all the way to the end to get brush suggestions (especially when there’s so many brushes in this bundle and it’s easy to get overwhelmed!) Sometimes a brush is suggested that the author likes to use, but most of the examples don’t tell you which brush to use so you can follow along and get similar results - except for the Showcase pieces at the end of the book, which tell you almost all of the brushes used on a specific spotlight piece. I feel like the Handbook is more for someone who already has some experience with digital painting but is just looking for some tips, because the ebook doesn’t tell you exactly which brushes to use to achieve a nice result. I especially liked the pencil tools and the oil painting tools, though I’m sure all the specialty brushes like the effects are awesome as well.Īs for the Digital Painting Handbook, my feelings on it are mixed. So what did I think of Jazza’s Ultimate Digital Painting Brushes (and the Handbook)? I didn’t get to try out every single brush, but the ones that I did use I really liked. I used the “OIL - Canvas Texture” brush to put down a gradient of light gray shades on my canvas. One of the tips in the handbook was to start with some sort of color on the canvas, even if it’s just a light gray. I decided to create a piece with the brushes to test them out, while also following some tips from the Digital Painting Handbook while I worked. I found this to be extremely helpful when deciding which brushes to install! The brush pack also comes with a PDF guide that lists all the brushes by category and gives a preview and brief description of each one. I got the brush bundle that also comes with “Jazza’s Ultimate Digital Painting Handbook”, a 100 page ebook with step-by-step directions on how to paint and sketch digitally (as well as included Photoshop files and time lapses of the example projects so you can follow along with the techniques). The bundle includes over 80 brushes, including pencils, pens, oil paints, watercolor, special effects, charcoal, and more. At the time of writing this, the brush pack is available for purchase on the Jazza Studios website, and comes with the brush files for Adobe Photoshop CC, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, and Krita. ![]() I purchased these brushes with my own money because I wanted to use them. In the mid to late 19th century in the U.S. In the U.S., older barns were built from timbers hewn from trees on the farm and built as a log crib barn or timber frame, although stone barns were sometimes built in areas where stone was a cheaper building material. One of the latter was the Low German (hall) house, in which the harvest was stored in the attic. Other types descended from the prehistoric longhouse or other building traditions. Not all, however, evolved from the medieval barn. A special type were byre-dwellings, which included living quarters, byres and stables, such as the Frisian farmhouse or Gulf house and the Black Forest house. Whenever stone walls were applied, the aisled timber frame often gave way to single-naved buildings. The latter also spread to Eastern Europe. The main types were large barns with sideway passages, compact barns with a central entrance and smaller barns with a transverse passage. The storage floors between the central posts or in the aisles were known as bays or mows (from Middle French moye). As a rule, the aisled barn had large entrance doors and a passage corridor for loaded wagons. In the course of time, its construction method was adopted by normal farms and it gradually spread to simpler buildings and other rural areas. In the 15th century several thousands of these huge barns were to be found in Western Europe. This, in turn, originated in a 12th-century building tradition, also applied in halls and ecclesiastical buildings. The modern barn largely developed from the three aisled medieval barn, commonly known as tithe barn or monastic barn. ![]() A Thesaurus of Old English lists bere-ærn and melu-hudern ("meal-store house") as synonyms for barn. In mainland Europe, however, barns were often part of integrated structures known as byre-dwellings (or housebarns in US literature).
